SHOP TIL YOU DROP

Bolingbrook Promenade Fundraiser

Don’t forget to support the “Shopping 4 Students” program at The Promenade Bolingbrook mall. Our schools are vying for a share of $10,000 and it’s tied to shopping/dining you already do! Log your receipts at the Mall Office (next to Gymboree) under Prairieview School or turn them in to the office and we will get them logged for you. Receipts will be returned to you if you would like them back – just include your student’s name and teacher. Please help support this important fundraiser!

LONG WEEKEND - BEAUTIFUL WEATHER

It is hard to believe that a long weekend and beautiful weather are actually going hand in hand. I hope you all have time to relax and spend time with family and friends.

COLUMBUS DAY FACTS

Columbus Day is a U.S. holiday that commemorates the landing of Christopher Columbus in the New World on October 12, 1492. It was unofficially celebrated in a number of cities and states as early as the 18th century but did not become a federal holiday until the 1937. For many, the holiday is a way of both honoring Columbus' achievements and celebrating Italian-American heritage. Throughout its history, Columbus Day and the man who inspired it have generated controversy, and many alternatives to the holiday have appeared in recent years.
